Abdominal Arterial Duplex Scan
This test uses ultrasound to assess the arteries that supply blood to the liver, kidneys, and other major organs in the abdomen.
Preparation For Exam
This exam is usually scheduled at 9:00 a.m. as you can have nothing to eat or drink after midnight (12:00 a.m.) prior to your exam. You may have small sips of water in order to take any medication you are required to take. No smoking or gum chewing is allowed the morning of your examination.
