Arterial Duplex Scan
This test uses ultrasound to look at the arterial walls and assess the blood flow within the arteries of your arms or legs.

Arterial Testing of Upper and Lower Extremities
This exam consists of placing blood pressure cuffs on the arms and/or legs. Your physician may have requested that we walk you on a treadmill to evaluate how the blood vessels respond to exercise. This is generally done if you have complaints of pain with walking.
Preparation For Exam:
It is recommended that you bring or wear sneakers or comfortable shoes for this exam.
Penile
This exam is generally ordered to determine if there is a vascular (blood flow) problem that is causing erectile dysfunction (impotence). Blood pressures and waveforms are taken from the penis and both legs. The penile blood pressure cuff is applied by the patient.

Raynaud's Testing
This type of exam is frequently ordered on patients with problems such as cold hands or feet, discoloration of the fingers and/or toes, or cold sensitivity (pain with exposure to cold temperatures). This test is done by exposing the hands/feet to cold by immersing them in cold water. Blood pressures are taken following the cold water exposure to observe how they react to the cold temperature.
Preparation For Exam:
It is requested that nail polish BE REMOVED prior to having this test performed.
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
This exam is ordered to determine if there is any compression on the blood vessels in the arms with certain movements of the arms. Common symptoms include pain and sometimes numbness from the area of compression to the arm, forearm, or hand. The exam is performed with sensors placed on the tips of the fingers to detect blood flow while the patient is asked to move their arms indifferent positions.
